NewBay Media’s TVB Awards celebrate the industry’s most promising and successful innovations and projects.** V-Nova’s winning entry was for PERSEUS, an advanced video compression technology that enables operators to extend their reach into new markets, deliver higher quality video and provide otherwise undeliverable services. By shifting the entire video bitrate-quality curve to enable UHD quality video at HD bitrates, HD at SD bitrates, and SD video at sub-audio bitrates, PERSEUS delivers significant improvements in compression, picture quality, processing speed, latency and power consumption using the existing ecosystem, workflows and standard, commercial-off- the-shelf hardware. “We are deeply honoured to win this coveted award for achievement in Innovation and R&D, which is a tribute not only to the PERSEUS technology, but also the R&D and engineering teams which have worked so hard to deliver it over these past 6 years,” commented Guido Meardi, V-Nova’s CEO & Co-Founder. “We are delighted by the positive reception PERSEUS has received so far and look forward to sharing new developments currently in the pipeline.” The TVB Award reflects the media and entertainment industries’ strong recognition of PERSEUS’ advanced capabilities. The award builds on V-Nova’s highly successful April NAB debut and [IBC show](http://www.platformpr.com/v-novas-ibc-debut-confirms-perseus-is-ready-for-prime-time-with-tier-1-partnerships-and-industry-awards/)last month, where PERSEUS was simultaneously featured on 12 booths of industry leading partners and customers. V-Nova left IBC with both the NewBay Media “Best of Show Award” and CSI’s “Best Digital Video Processing Technology Award”. “This TVB Award is the crowning of an incredible 6-months since our April 1 debut,” said Eric Achtmann, V-Nova’s Executive Chairman & Co-Founder. “In this short period, V-Nova has succeeded in delivering a paradigm-shifting technology and industry- grade products, integrating with Tier 1 customers and partners, and entering new industries. PERSEUS is at the beginning of what will be a very long and exciting journey.” Since launching, V-Nova has achieved multiple integrations and partnerships with Tier 1 companies including [Alcatel-Lucent](http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150907005029/en/V-Nova-Work-Alcatel-Lucent-Oregan-Networks-Offer-PERSEUS%C2%AE), [Broadcom](http://www.v-net.tv/broadcom-gives-a-few-more-details-about-its-work-with-perseus-codec), EE, [Imagine Communications](http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150911005024/en/V-Nova-Integrates-Paradigm-Shifting-PERSEUS%C2%AE-Video-Compression-Technology)[NVIDIA](http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150825005153/en/V-Nova-Advance-PERSEUS-Video-Compression-Performance-Support), [ST Microelectronics](http://www.tvbeurope.com/v-novas-perseus-ready-prime-time-tier-1-partnerships-industry-awards/), [Thomson](http://www.platformpr.com/v-novas-ibc-debut-confirms-perseus-is-ready-for-prime-time-with-tier-1-partnerships-and-industry-awards/)and [VisualOn.](http://visualon.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/VNOVA-VisualOn-PR-0326-VF.pdf) ##### Share this [mailto:?subject=https://campaign.v-nova.com/press-release/press-releases/v-nova-wins-tvb-europes-innovation-and-rd-award](mailto:?subject=https://campaign.v-nova.com/press-release/press-releases/v-nova-wins-tvb-europes-innovation-and-rd-award) [V-Nova wins TVB Europe’s Innovation and R&D awardO](https://campaign.v-nova.com/press-release/tag/v-nova-wins-tvb-europes-innovation-and-rd-awardoct) ## Related [![](https://campaign.v-nova.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Slide1-1.jpg)](https://campaign.v-nova.com/press-release/press-releases/v-nova-completes-the-acquisition-of-parallaxter-srl-the-company-behind-the-presenz-xr-technology) [V-Nova completes the acquisition of Parallaxter Sr](https://campaign.v-nova.com/press-release/tag/v-nova-completes-the-acquisition-of-parallaxter-sr) ##### [V-Nova completes the acquisition of Parallaxter Srl, the company behind the PresenZ XR technology](https://campaign.v-nova.com/press-release/press-releases/v-nova-completes-the-acquisition-of-parallaxter-srl-the-company-behind-the-presenz-xr-technology) • V-Nova completes the acquisition of Parallaxter, adding the PresenZ XR technology to its IP portfolio • PresenZ,...
