V-Nova Ltd has partnered with Turkish distributor Arttek in a move that extends the company’s footprint in Turkey and expands its existing distribution network.
Arttek will act as an official reseller of V-Nova PERSEUS™ in Turkey, targeting regional broadcasters, content and rights owners, and TV service providers. V-Nova’s technology is used for contribution and distribution in a number of applications.
Working with a leading regional distributor also paves the way for V-Nova developments in high growth areas, including virtual reality (VR) and 360° video, Ultra HD and mobile video services.
“At Arttek, we pride ourselves on offering the most advanced technologies to our customers,” said Kıvanç Işık, CEO at Arttek. “We see strong potential in the revolutionary V-Nova PERSEUS portfolio and are very excited to see where this partnership takes us in the future – particularly in potential new vertical markets.”
V-Nova PERSEUS is a video processing technology that addresses today’s video delivery challenges, closing the capacity gap for quality delivery to connected devices over existing networks. V-Nova PERSEUS redraws the traditional bitrate-quality curve, enabling operators and service providers to provide high quality video (ie, both linear and non-linear) within their bandwidth constraints: UHD at HD bitrates on large screen TVs, HD at SD bitrates on legacy set-top boxes and mobile devices, and SD at sub-audio bitrates over bandwidth-constrained mobile networks.
Guido Meardi, V-Nova CEO and co-founder, added: “Our partner programme ensures that we can reach our customers and industry peers around the world as we grow. This partnership with Arttek highlights the great progress we have made in recent months in driving momentum across Europe and the near East. Working with Arttek provides us with the support needed to really extend our business, allowing the entire TV and media industry to deploy and utilise V-Nova PERSEUS, wherever they are based. 2016 has enabled us to focus on developing the most valuable areas of our business, and this strategic collaboration is the next step in our international expansion.”
